Back to the basics?

I seem to get into the arguement about secular music alot; first off let me tell you my position on it. I dont listen to it, it is my belief that if it doesnt give God glory then why be fed by it?

The arguement i always get is simply this... Some of the secular music has great morals it teaches us something different than we can get from christian music. Which is true, but what good are having great morals if you still go to hell?

It has been argued that we NEED secular music because if you cannot identify with the people you are trying to reach you will be ineffective. Which is true, to a certain extent we need to be aware of the "world", but our sole purpose in listening or watching anything that the world has to offer should be to grow in knowledge only to further ourselves in Christ.

But why would we need secular music? I guarantee if Christ had it his way there wouldn't be any other music except that which glorified him. I think the reason people think we need it is because alot of Christian music today is repetitive and the crowd gets bored. Thats when we start looking for more ways to "witness" to people; so we go to secular music.

Why do we have to look for new ways to minister? God said for us to be fishers of men, he provided us with a fishing pole and bait. Instead we throw out the fishing pole and try to jump in and catch something in a crazy way that is soooooo un-biblical. God provided the tools, use them!

Now im not saying don't use different ways to show people God, because there are different ways to cast out and different bait you can use depending on the type of "fish" your trying to catch. Just be sure that all your ministering tools can withstand the fires of hell. We are supposed to be fishermen but we are amatuer, inexperienced and we dont even know how to cast out a line.

Is fishing just a hobby for you, or is it your life?

If its just a hobby then you probably aren't helping anything, but if its life people will be changed.

This Christianity.

In this christianity, I didn't know i wasn't aloud to preach to people.
In this christianity, I didn't know it was wrong to pray for EVERYONE.
In this christianity, Im sorry i try to save people from hell.
In this christianity, I will conform not to this world but, to the christians who are no different.
In this christianity, I am confused who the enemy is, us or them.
In this christianity, I honor my father and mother, but not God.
In this christianity, I lift my hands not as a sign of surrender, but as a sign of bondage.
In this christianity, I update my relationship with you so everyone can see it.
In this christianity, I'm not supposed to talk about God. So I don't.
In this christianity, I am still LOST.

In my christianity, I will soar on wings like eagles.
In my christianity, I will not just hear, but i will do what God says.
In my christianity, I will know real LOVE.
In my christianity, I wont be fake. A fraud. A failure. But a fanatic.
In my christianity, I will preach to EVERYONE.
In my christianity, I will continually pray without relenting.
In my christianity, I give not just my heart, but my life for the gospel of Christ.
In my christianity, I know there are no obstacles, only opportunities.
In my christianity, I do the things i do for God alone.
In my christianity, I am FOUND.


This World Has Nothing For Me.

Daddy's girl.

I was at a birthday party today where there were alot of little kids running around and playing. After awhile more and more kids started coming and some brought bags of toys. One little girl left her bag on the ground and the other kids got into it. They had all her toys out on the ground and she came up and freaked out she did it all; the open mouth, the knee slap, everything that an adult would do. Let me remind you that she is a three year old with no sense of maturity at all, but by the example that was set her actions were made.
People wonder why our generation is full of rebellion and sin, it's because of the example that was set. The expectations that are held to this generation are so low that there is no way for us to become great at anything. As a parent you feel like you are the luckiest person in the world because you have something that doesn't see you for your flaws, something that looks up to you and thinks you are a superhero, even when your not. It is your responsibility to lead a life of love and courage. Not "the best i can do" life, thats when you say well i am trying my best if it doesnt work then its not my fault. No, try harder than that. Always prevail so that your kids will too.
The best way to have successful children is to be a successful parent.
Never have the mindset i hope they don't turn out like me, or i am gonna give them the life i can't have. You should lead by example so your kids can learn form you and be great like you.
Let your life be a map to greatness.

Prayer & Fasting/Hypocrites

Alot of people say that they don't know how to pray, but the bible tells us how.

Matthew 6:9-15
9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
“ ‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Jesus gave us this prayer as a foundation, it covers alot.
But, prayer is not this simple. Some people think that when you "Pray before you Play" meaning when you pray with a team before a sporting event that you are a saint. Thats not what its about at all.
The bible says in Matthew 6:6,
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

This means that when you pray its not about doing it front of everyone, the bible calls those people hypocrites in matthew 6:5,
5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full."

It is great to pray in front of everyone but i think that prayer by yourself is the most important it proves that what your doind is personal to and for God.


The christians of today doesn't have nearly forgotten fasting. Either they have forgotten it is for today or they just don't want to do it.

Fasting is when you willingly abstain from some action that you would do on a daily basis. For example you would fast a meal or you could fast your computer or phone.
The reason people fast is to show God that he is first in their life and no one is close.

The bible says in Matthew 6:16,
16 “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly."
This means to cover up your fasting so that it is a personal thing between you and God, because it is not about the rest of the world and your relationship with God. It is just about you and God.

The trend in Prayer and Fasting is that Jesus makes a point to warn from being a hypocrite, it is imparative that you do not set an example that is not fitting for our Lord and savior.

If you are a fake christian then just stop, because its not like there are any consequences for admitting your fake you just don't have to act anymore. When you speak watch what you say, when you act watch what you do.

Love.God.Love

As a christian man it is very difficult to live in this fallen world, no doubt about that. What you need to understand is that it is not a sin to wanna be affectionate whith a person of the opposite sex. We were made to Love others so its understandable why we would want to be with eachother.
But you have to understand the word LOVE. 1st John 4:8 says "God is Love." Therefore everytime you tell someone you love them you are saying "I God you." God is amazing and unconditional, is your Love? If it is not then i am sorry to tell you that it is not Love.
When you say "I God you." You are saying your relationship is totally wrapped up in God in every aspect, from your descisions to your happiness. If your relationship is not from God then that means it is not from Love wich means its not love.

1st Corinthians 13 says "4.Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5.It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7.It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8.Love Never Fails..." If you replace Love for God in this passage you will that "God is patient and kind and never fails." Can you say that about the Person that you say you love.

If your wondering whether the Love that you have is real Love, Hold it up to the bibles definition of Love. Let me ask you a question. Are you ready to die? The bible says in John 15:13 "13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." Do you have friends that you would lay your life down for?

You would die for them because you Love them so much and you know them as a best friend right. Christ went to the cross and dies for us while we were still disgusting sinners. We didn't know him at all we weren't even thought of while he was being beaten.

John 3:16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." God has offered a sacrifice out of Love for us even though we are not worthy of it at all.

Is the "Love" that you give to your significant other God's Love, or is it worldly Love?
If it is Worldly Love then you are wasting your time. Proverbs 14:12 "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." If its not God's Way it is the devils and it leads to death.
